HP Itanium2 Cluster (nano.cnsi.ucsb.edu)

This system is best for serial jobs (single processor) that require moderate amounts of memory. The Itanium processor will run most code quick and efficiently.

Technical Details

The HP "nano" cluster consists of 10 HP ZX6000 computers with dual 900MHz Itanium2 CPUs and 4GB RAM each. Each system has a SCSI disk subsystem for local scratch storage. These systems are very effective for serial jobs requiring large amounts of RAM.
