Technical Details
The SGI Altix350 is a 16 processor system (1.4GHz Intel Itanium2 CPUs) with 32GB of shared main memory. There is a 73GB SCSI system disk, 73 GB SCSI home disk for user files, and a 300GB SCSI disk for temporary files (/scratch). The unique architecture makes this system appear as a single large SMP system, for simple, high performance parallel applications.
