The following programs are of interest to the community.
The LEAPS program runs a series of family science nights at local junior highs to engage students and families in scientific activities with UCSB scientists and researchers.
A forum to discuss current topics in nanotechnology and how they effect society with prominent researchers at UCSB.
UC Santa Barbara hosts the Santa Barbara County Science Fair each Spring at the UCSB campus, in conjunction with the UCSB Science Expo.
The public is invited to tour, experience, and learn about science and engineering research at UCSB through activities organized by the UCSB student chapter of SACNAS and the Santa Barbara County Science Fair.
