Join UCSB CNSI for an interactive workshop on understanding, applying for and successfully performing SBIR /STTR federal grants. Through the Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) programs, America’s Seed Fund awards non-dilutive funding to develop your technology and chart a path toward commercialization.

This workshop will feature a panel discussion with speakers who have successfully received an SBIR/STTR grants or sub-awards, an “All things Government Contracting Session”, both a Department of Energy (DOE) and Department of Defense (DOD) focused consultant sessions, and a Zoom discussion with Department of Energy (DOE) Program Officer. All sessions will provide solid tips and information on what factors contribute to a successful application and launch after receiving a grant.

The workshop is open to researchers, faculty, and startups looking to learn more about the SBIR/STTR program and process. No prior knowledge is required to attend. Lunch will be provided for attendees.
