MELLEN ADAPT Control System

Description

The MELLEN ADAPT control system is a centralized computer system that is capable of controlling and monitoring up to twelve temperature zones independently. Currently, we are using ten of the twelve zones to control the two MELLEN SC12.5R three zone tube furnaces, the MELLEN two zone bridgeman furnace, and the MELLEN two zone tilting furnace – leaving room to add 1-2 additional furnaces to the system in the future. Each of the ten zones on the four furnaces currently connected to the system can be programmed through MELLEN’s ADAPT software. This software provides a single hub with the following capabilities: zone programming and generation of temperature profiles for heat treatments, whole system monitoring in real-time including data logging, graphical interface to examine real time or historical data, and alarm settings to alert operators of equipment malfunction.
