Contracts & Grants
CNSI provides all aspects of extramural fund administration including proposal submission, personnel, purchasing, reimbursement processing and fund management.
CNSI has a particular expertise in supporting cross-disciplinary and/or large-scale projects that span multiple departments. To best support the research endeavors and key programs within Elings Hall, priority will be given to the following proposals:
- Multi-PI proposals for projects that will span more than one department.
- Proposals for a large-scale project or center.
- Proposals that will lay a foundation for a future large-scale project or center.
- Proposals for projects conducted, in whole or in part, within Elings Hall facilities.
- Proposals for projects related to, or complimentary with, the Quantum Foundry, BioPACIFIC MIP, or M-WET thrusts.
- Proposals related to, or awarded as a result of, CNSI Challenge Grants.
To submit a proposal through CNSI, please complete the CNSI Proposal Request Form (see below) to ensure the CNSI team has the information it needs to properly support the effort. The Office of Research requires all proposals to be submitted for review at least two weeks prior to the submission deadline. Principal investigators interested in submitting a proposal through CNSI should complete the pre-submission inquiry form a month before the submission deadline, if possible. For large-scale projects or complex proposals, additional notice is greatly appreciated.
